“…an unprecedented culinary experience combining oriental flavours and a western cuisine infused with Filipino accents”

Unafraid of breaking established codes of classic gastronomy, Glen Ramaekers likes to be found where you least expect him…
Succeeding Michelin-starred Sang Hoon Degeimbre, the bold, multi-faceted chef took command at Villa Empain’s Café de la Villa for an unprecedented culinary experience combining oriental flavours and a western cuisine infused with Filipino accents, a signature of the visionary chef who enjoys straying from the beaten track.

“Once the intimate salon of Baron Empain, the interior of Café de la Villa is decorated with velvet, precious marble, detailed ironwork, a ceiling in Venezuelan Massaranduba wood, and an American-style bar, particularly fashionable in the 1930s. Its grand staircase led directly to the baron’s bedroom, making it one of the most private and prestigious spaces in the entire villa.”
